Connected and Automated Transportation

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) shares an industry vision: no vehicles collide, and users can interact with automated and connected transportation, transforming how they live, work and interact with their environment. To achieve this vision, we need research, development and testing on how vehicles, users and the transportation infrastructure will all work together. While automated vehicles are emerging and connected-vehicle research is progressing, TTI believes the biggest gains to safety and mobility will occur at the nexus of these areas. For this reason, TTI is creating a world-class research environment at Texas A&M University where researchers can collaborate, create new transportation paradigms, and showcase future mobility and safety.
