RELLIS CAMpus NEWSLETTER

2024 Q3

Over the past year, we have welcomed visitors from the Department of Defense, both National and State senior government officials, leaders from multiple industries, and several National Laboratory Organization representatives. In the next six months, we will implement a personalized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to better manage stakeholder visits, potential customer acquisition, and current customer needs. Since RELLIS is home to TDEM’s regional headquarters, our campus has been awash with first responders during the month of July as they mobilized to aid Texans after Hurricane Beryl made landfall. My aim is to make RELLIS the most effective and efficient partner in business relationships as we continue to assess opportunities on these 2,300 acres. Next quarter, I hope to confirm some groundbreaking new plans for development on campus.

  • AgriLife continues to lead construction of its Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center
  • BCDC supported the INTEROP Network Symposium exercise, held its first BAM commissioning workshop and an innovation session with the Texas Lab-to-Market Consortium
  • TEES researchers are working on a new method of infrastructure monitoring using Synthetic Aperture Radar remote sensing systems
  • TEEX graduated its 175th class from the Central Texas Police Academy, and the TEEX Texas Forensic Science Academy celebrated 15 years of training
  • TTI and industry leaders convened for a first-of-its-kind crash test in Texas with a Tesla Model 3
