Financial Aid

Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility, and many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own aid.

A few items to remember:

  • Per state high school graduation requirements, high school seniors are now REQUIRED to submit a FAFSA application effective beginning with the 2021-2022 academic year.
  • You must file a FAFSA for every academic year in which you intend to receive financial aid.
  • New FAFSA applications open every year on October 1 prior to the start of the award year, and the application for that year closes June 30, approximately 21 months after it opens.
  • The Texas priority deadline is January 15 each year.
  • Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to file early.

Studying at the RELLIS Academic Alliance is designed to be a seamless experience, with many resources coming through the institution through which you are earning your degree(s), including financial aid packages. When applying for admission, be sure to follow the financial aid process at your respective institutions.
