Rachel Williams
Fall 2024 Graduate
Marketing
Although she was accepted by Texas A&M University, Rachel felt called to continue her educational journey with the RELLIS Academic Alliance. This calling led her to graduate from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi at RELLIS with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
Drawn to RELLIS by its small size and ample opportunities for professional development, Rachel quickly discovered the best aspects of the campus.
“The best part of being a RELLIS student was having access to real-world learning experiences,” said Rachel. “I always felt supported in developing skills that would directly contribute to my career. The smaller, close-knit environment also made it easy to form relationships with peers and faculty who genuinely cared about student success,” she continued.
Rachel’s own student success led her to the role of student worker, where she worked as the social media manager for the RELLIS Academic Alliance. Frequently seen at events on campus, Rachel grew into her own as a marketing professional through her work.
“Working as a social media assistant at RELLIS provided me with practical experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and event promotion. Additionally, participating in event planning and real-time content creation taught me adaptability, time management, and the importance of storytelling in marketing.”
Her work as social media manager also gave her a favorite memory of RELLIS – and brought her closer to the community she served.
“One of my favorite memories was managing live social media coverage for major events on campus like Ring Day. They were moments where all my skills—from content creation to strategic communication came together, and I felt truly connected to the RELLIS community.”
Due to her outstanding efforts as a student worker, Rachel was honored with the TAMUS Student Employee of the Semester award.
“Receiving this award is an immense honor and reflects the hard work and creativity I invested in my role,” said Rachel. “It means a lot to me to be acknowledged for my contributions to RELLIS’ social media presence and student engagement efforts.”
But to Rachel, RELLIS isn’t just a place to win awards.
“RELLIS is a place where you don’t just learn but you gain practical experience that prepares you for the future,” she said. The hands-on opportunities, industry connections, and supportive environment make it a unique and valuable space for academic and professional growth. If you’re seeking a campus where you can make meaningful contributions while developing skills that set you apart, RELLIS is the perfect fit.”
