TAMUCC at RELLIS Students Excel at Texas A&M TIES Sales Showdown

College Station, TX. — Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi students at the RELLIS campus recently competed in the TIES Sales Showdown, hosted by the Industrial Distribution Program at Texas A&M University, where they demonstrated outstanding performance against more than 200 students from Texas A&M University.

The competition began with Round 1 on March 19, when TIES officers visited the RELLIS campus to conduct role-play recordings. More than 30 RELLIS students participated, representing both a professional selling course and members of the RELLIS Sales Team. The experience provided students with an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a competitive, real-world setting.

Following the initial round, four RELLIS students advanced to the second round, held March 26–27 on Texas A&M University’s main campus:

  • Madisyn Beckett
  • Meggie Nop
  • Kenzie Nelson
  • William Foss

Among them, Madisyn Beckett advanced to the final round and earned 4th place overall out of more than 200 participants, along with a $500 scholarship, highlighting the strength of RELLIS students on a highly competitive stage.

In addition to overall placements, several RELLIS students earned individual honors for their performance in key components of the sales process. Each award included a $250 scholarship:

  • Best Intro Step — Alitza Perez
  • Best Discovery Step — Ashtyn Tadlock
  • Best Objection Handling — Thalia Hernandez

The students’ success reflects the quality of academic programs offered through Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi at RELLIS and the emphasis on hands-on, experiential learning. Opportunities like the TIES Sales Showdown allow students to refine their skills, build confidence, and compete alongside peers from across the state.
