Dr. Sebastian Schmidl
Dr. Sebastian Schmidl earned a Master of Science and PhD in science (biology) from University of Göttingen in Germany. He will be teaching general ecology, general microbiology, cell and molecular biology, global change, independent research/study, genetics, environmental chemistry, endangered ecosystems, and a seminar in biology. His research interests include exploring bacterial signaling principles underlying host-specific adaptation and virulence. By understanding these regulatory processes, it will eventually be possible to create new treatment regimens for infectious diseases. This is even more important considering the increasing emergence of antibiotic-resistant pathogens.
Dr. Abdallah Farraj
Dr. Farraj has a PhD. in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University. His research focuses on preventing attacks of smart grid systems and maintaining data integrity.
