Build on your law enforcement training, and make a difference in your community with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Tarleton State University. This broad-based education builds on the training you already have under your belt. A variety of completed training and experience is accepted – from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), certifiable military training, and federal criminal justice training – as well as other recognized training programs outside of Texas. Your hours and types of training are evaluated on an individual basis by the Program Coordinator (commissioned Texas Peace Officer), then presented to the Interdisciplinary Degree Programs Committee for approval.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Dr. Brown is a faculty affiliate in The Institute on Violence Against Women and Human Trafficking at Tarleton. In addition to her interest in crimes against women and children, her research interests include child abduction murder investigation, crime scene investigation, serial murder, crime scene assessment, technology-facilitated crimes against children, forensic evidence, and other solvability factors affecting murder investigations.

Dr. McIntosh is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Criminal Justice at Tarleton State University. With a solid commitment to comprehensive education, she employs diverse teaching methods, including face-to-face and online lectures using curated videos and current affairs articles, to engage students and facilitate a deep understanding of course content.
